| The Strategy Forum is the new society within the MBA class that aims to increase student exposure to the strategic issues facing business today. Founded by a group of Full-timers eager to challenge their learning with real time problems, the Forum hosts lectures by high-profile strategists from multinational companies. The events were kicked-off by MC Mohan, Senior Vice President, Europe, Middle East and Africa, of Health, Beauty and Cosmetic Division of Procter & Gamble, who motivated students to think "out-of-the-box" examined 'Out-of-box Strategy'. Michael E Ettling, Vice President, Strategy and Marketing of EDS-Centrobe Inc and Mark Turner, Vice President, AT Kearney, gave a joint presentation on 'Strategic Relationship Marketing' at the February gathering. "It is not price, product, place, promotion any more. It is cost, consumer, convenience, communication" they emphasized. PricewaterhouseCoopers fronted the March event, with Ron Collard, Partner, Human Resources Operations giving students a unique delegates an insight into the mergers of multinational professional services firms. 'Merging the Multinationals: The Merger of Price Waterhouse with Coopers & Lybrand'. The talks have been well attended, by Full-time and Modular MBA students and faculty members. Student feedback has been very positive. "They feel "It adds a valuable extra dimension to the learning experience and gives them a practical insight into what is happening in business today at the strategic level" says one of the founder members of the Strategy Forum, who is helping to organise this first wave of activities. The initiative has been thoroughly welcomed and encouraged by the Business School faculty. Forthcoming events include John Leighfield, retired chairman of AT&T ISTEL, member of the Advisory Board and Honorary Professor of the School on May 5, David Garman, Chairman of Allied Bakeries on May 26, and Alan Harper, Managing Director of Plantronics on June 2.
