Trip to Uruguay, May 2005

I only visited Colonia de Sacramento, a colonial town build by Portuguese in 1680, for a few hours. I took the ferry from Buenos Aires in Argentina in the morning and returned in the evening. The travel guide says that "this is the place where wealthy people from Buenos Aires go to relax". Well, the ferry was full with tourists like me who thought they had to do this trip. Colonia is a nice small village, and it is nice to escape from big-city Buenos Aires for a day. But you will not miss much if you do not go.
